yes american idol is old hat, but i like this guy! a really charming kid. :D I LOVE HIS SONG CHOICES! waiting on the world to change (john mayer) and shop around (smokey robinson).

worth a listen.

shop around's lyrics are SO applicable to him. he will probably turn out to be america's edison chen, given how he is exposed to fame this early (even earlier... won star search as a kid) and how all the ladies love him (according to ryan seacrest):
